A few more State Stat Stars of Week

We didn’t do a column this week, but wanted to record more of these totals onto the site from last week’s football games. This list doesn’t include any SoCal/NorCal players of the week and for those from the CIF Central Section see separate post on this blog. Even more players are mentioned in our various State Top 50 team highlight writeups.

Jasaun Allen (Chavez, Stockton): Our local paper hasn’t mentioned this game at all, which is too bad, but Allen had a great night with 27 carries for 301 yards and five TDs in 74-64 win against Bear Creek of Stockton. The combined 138 points ties a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section record and is tied for third on state list. Allen also caught three passes for 53 yards and one TD in same game. Chavez already gave up big points in 72-48 and 70-40 losses this season to McNair and Edison. This time, the Titans gave up 64 and won anyway.

Matt Araiza (Rancho Bernardo, San Diego): Outstanding senior kicker for the Broncos nailed a 53-yard field goal during 38-0 win over Del Norte of San Diego.
Will Buck (Capital Christian, Sacramento): Two-way standout had five sacks on defense as Cougars clobbered Natomas of Sacramento 56-14.
Qeanu Campbell-Caldwell (Millikan, Long Beach): He connected on 17 of 25 passes for 348 yards and five TDs plus he ran for a score to lead Rams past Wilson of Long Beach 46-20 in the Moore League.
Nico Della Ripa (Agoura): In a 38-17 triumph vs. Simi Valley, Nico let it rip with 11 receptions for 222 yards and one touchdown.
Javyn Drobnick (Big Valley Christian, Modesto): Heading into team’s showdown with Stone Ridge Christian of Merced, Drobnick dropped the hammer on Riverbank in a 58-37 victory with 29 carries for 372 yards and four TDs.
Mac Fennell (Notre Dame, Riverside): Big Mac hit on 15 of 21 passes for 384 yards and five TDs as the Titans improved to 3-0 under new head coach Michael Lara with 57-7 win over Linfield Christian of Temecula.

E.J. Gable (Arleta): In a 42-21 victory over Monroe of Sepulveda, Gable rushed for 228 yards on 27 carries and scored three TDs. He also had 48 receiving yards with one TD and he had an interception on defense.
Dustin Gregg (Santa Ynez): Helping his team bounce back from its first loss of the season (17-7 to unbeaten Lompoc), Gregg was great with 21 completions in 25 attempts for 422 yards and five TDs in a 42-10 win against Pioneer Valley of Santa Maria.
Zaquand Irby (Ganesha, Pomona): A junior to watch, Irby went over 2,000 yards rushing for the season after ripping off 322 yards on 21 carries and scoring six times in a 55-14 win over Bassett of La Puente.
Blake Kirshner (Santa Clarita Valley Christian, Canyon Country): He blew up again passing-wise, this time going 24 of 42 for 468 yards and seven TDs as SCVC blasted Fairmont Prep of Anaheim 56-20. Kirshner also went over 3,000 yards on the season.
Harrison Zhange (Sobrato, Morgan Hill): Second straight week we have a stat star from this school. Harrison makes it for having three interceptions (one returned for TD) in wild-and-wacky 76-28 victory vs. Leigh of San Jose. Jared Jones scored five TDs for Sobrato in same game while QB John Bell had 234 yards passing and five scores.
