5th Year With FOX 40 Final Quarter

We are happy to announce that for the fifth straight year the CalHiSports.com web site and Cal-Hi Sports will be part of the weekly Final Quarter high school football show on Friday nights on the FOX 40 station in Sacramento.

For our part of the partnership, we will be providing a Top 5 list involving the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section that will be revealed each week during the broadcast. The first list for this week’s first show of the 2017 season will be the Top 5 returning quarterbacks in the SJS. We’ll then be following with lists of more top five player lists, with running backs, receivers/tight ends, offensive line, defensive line, linebackers and defensive backs following the QBs.

Polls also will once again be conducted on the FOX 40 website for the Papa Murphy’s Fan Favorite Game of the Week. The 30-minute show is twice a long as any other Friday night high school football show in the Sacramento market.

Thanks to sports director Jim Crandell and to the station’s other on-air talent, including our favorite weather girl, Kristina Werner, plus Mark Demsky and Martina Del Bonta, who will be working on the show during the season.

Be sure to tune into this week’s show on Friday night at 11 for all of the local Sacramento area highlights, including Granite Bay vs. Jesuit.

If approved to play with a full family move from Whitney High School to Capital Christian QB Jake (Jacob) Cruz is one QB to watch this year. He filled in for the starter and finished the season heading to the playoffs. He’s been overlooked for a long time. SacLifestyle thinks there are good things coming from this kid.

All we knew is that he was no longer at Whitney. New school wasn’t reported anywhere we saw when looking a few weeks ago.
He won’t be on a lot of lists for that reason. If he has a few good outings early on, we’ll get him perhaps as a player of the week.
