Man the north poses no challenges to De La Salle ever. They get cake walks into the state title game every year as a result. Can someone from the north please stand up and take on the bully? It’s been over 22 years for crying out loud. The Pac5 teams get beat on for weeks and have to play a team that has rested players in CIF final games. Its becoming comical. Step up northern competition!

There have been plenty of games DLS has played vs SoCal that did not present the Spartans much of a challenge.

Nobody in the SS challenges their two or 3 elite teams they have each year either. the SS elite cake walk until they play one of the other 1 or 2 elite teams.

This is why a state wide Open division playoff is needed. Top 8 from either end.

I agree with your state open but the difference is SS plays 4 games were DLS plays 2. And one of those ‘cake walk’ teams Servite gave DLS there toughest CA game of the year…

DeLaSalle took St Mary’s off of the schedule. We would have beaten them this season!!!

Would be a great game if the two NorCal/SoCal Open Division games were being held. Winning D1-AA state title will have to be your consolation prize.

Congrats to Mater Dei on great season. No reason they shouldn’t be playing Cath. Chris. or Narbonne for the D1 regional bowl like NCS and CCS open runner ups have they opportunity to do. Hopefully learning opportunity for Southern Section

Mark, is the 56 points scored by St Mary’s last night the most points scored in D1 section championship history. Folsom scored 55 in ’14 and St Mary’s scored 50 in ’04.
