TOP 10 STATE
BASEBALL TEAMS

1. (3) Buchanan (Clovis) 19-1
Bears move back to the top, hopping over previous No. 2 Redondo, due primarily to strength of schedule.

2. (2) Redondo Union (Redondo Beach) 16-0*
Too hard to move up a team to No. 1 that got two forfeit wins.

3. (1) Davis 14-1
Hunter Jury had four RBI in two straight games, but first loss was 9-8 to Franklin (Elk Grove).

4. (4) Lutheran (Orange) 14-2
After three-game sweep of St. John Bosco, Lancers have become consensus No. 1 for Southern California.

5. (11) Clovis 19-3
Cougars will play Clovis North in a huge series this week.

6. (13) Bonita (La Verne) 17-2
A 4-0 week plus a lot of other teams losing helps Bearcats get a major push upward in this week’s rankings.

7. (5) Jesuit (Carmichael) 12-3
Loss to Pleasant Grove was followed by two wins and then a non-league win vs. Bellarmine (San Jose).

8. (15) De La Salle (Concord) 11-3
Spartans had their bats working well in wins vs. Serra (San Mateo), Livermore and Foothill (Pleasanton).

9. (10) Serra (San Mateo) 14-4-1
Loss last week was to DLS, which was followed by wins vs. Archbishop Riordan and Archbishop Mitty.

10. (12) JSerra (San Juan Capistrano) 14-5
Lions went 2-1 in series vs. Santa Margarita, which was 12-3 coming into last week.

TOP 10 STATE
SOFTBALL TEAMS

1. (1) Los Alamitos 16-1
Griffins stay on top of state as season settles down.

2. (2) Mission Viejo 15-2
Needed extra innings to beat Dana Hills, but in the end another 2-0 week.

3. (5) La Habra 18-1

With previous No. 3 Etiwanda and No. 4 West Ranch losing last week, Highlanders now climb to No. 3.

4. (6) Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 18-3
Monarchs move up right behind La Habra team they lost to a couple of weeks ago.

5. (7) Lutheran (Orange) 18-3
We didn’t plan that it would be an All-Orange County sweep of top five rankings positions, but no choice really after results of last week and last month.

6. (3) Etiwanda 21-2
Despite loss last week to St. Lucy’s, the Eagles still have a more than solid top 10 resume.

7. (9) Norco 13-3
Previous No. 8 Alhambra (Martinez) also drops this week, helping Cougars to rise up to No. 7.

8. (12) Huntington Beach 17-1
Since the Oilers are in the CIFSS top division, they get a bump after a 3-0 week.

9. (13) Amador Valley (Pleasanton) 11-2
Earlier win over Sheldon (Sacramento) gets enhanced because Sheldon won last week over Alhambra.

10. (10) Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) 19-0-1
Lions stay put despite 3-0 week.
