We are glad that for the second straight year the CalHiSports.com web site and Cal-Hi Sports will be part of the weekly Final Quarter high school football show on Friday nights on the FOX 40 station in Sacramento.
For our part of the partnership, we will be providing a Top 5 list involving the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section that will be revealed each week during the broadcast. The first list for this week’s first show of the 2014 season will be the Top 5 quarterbacks in the section. There’s no suspense needed for who is No. 1 — Folsom’s Jake Browning — but we’re sure the order of the next four will be open for debate.
A poll also is currently running on the FOX 40 website for Game of the Week. The 30-minute show is twice a long as any other Friday night high school football show in the Sacramento market.
Thanks to sports director Jim Crandell and to the station’s other on-air talent who will be working on the show during the season, including co-host Kristina Werner and sports anchor Mark Demski.
