CCS teams take charge with Bellarmine, Oak Grove and Sacred Heart Prep all getting strong upward shoves in new rankings. Marin Catholic also is higher after topping Cardinal Newman while the only newcomer is McClymonds.

NEW S.F. Bay Area FB Ranks (Week 7)

There’s more than just a major bump given to Archbishop Riordan this week. Sacred Heart Prep goes back in as a newcomer along with unbeaten McClymonds of Oakland. Archbishop Mitty also jumps up eight spots with big game looming between No. 3 Foothill and No. 6 Monte Vista.

NEW State FB Rankings (Divisions)

No. 1 teams De La Salle (D1), Redlands East Valley (D2), Calabasas (D3), Sacred Heart Prep of Atherton (D4) and Grace Brethren (D5) remain in place, at least for another week. New teams making huge leaps, however, include Carter of Rialto (D2), Camarillo (D3), Liberty of Madera Ranchos (D4) and Stellar Prep of Oakland (D5)....

We’ve gone through each section again after doing a preseason version of these rankings and have reconsidered the placement of many teams. These new placements will be closer to possible CIF bowl divisions for some teams and also reflect input from many users about certain teams. No. 1 teams after the first week of the...

NEW Bay Area 25 Football Rankings

Sacred Heart Prep and Bellarmine are now in the No. 3 and No. 4 positions after De La Salle and Clayton Valley. It’s also a good week for NCS finalist Pittsburg to go way up plus there’s the weirdness of ranking teams that played in CCS consolation games.
