All-State Basketball: Boys Elite Squads

The six finalists for Mr. Basketball are joined by 24 others on the 35th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State teams regardless of CIF division or class.

A group of six boys are in line to be selected as the 2013 honoree by Cal-Hi Sports. The Mr. Basketball State Player of the Year list now goes back almost 100 years and includes numerous NBA superstars.

New State Top 20 Boys BB Rankings

Serra of Gardena is the week’s only newcomer in a week of few changes. That should change next week because four of the top 10 could be facing off in the CIFSS Division I-AA quarterfinals. One top 20 team also gets inexplicable low seed in its section playoffs.

Bishop O’Dowd, Bishop Montgomery and Bullard bump their way up from the preseason list but Long Beach Poly remains on top. Next regular season rankings will be done after the major holiday invitational tournaments.
