We aren’t doing a column this week, but wanted to record more of these totals onto the site from last week’s football games. This list doesn’t include any SoCal/NorCal players of the week and for those from the CIF Central Section see separate post on this blog. Even more players are mentioned in our various […]
How to get numerous area player of the year running backs onto these teams was a major challenge, which is why we went with four on the first team and basically put two others onto multi-purpose. Calabasas, which lost to Madison of San Diego (considered large schools) in the CIF Division 2-AA SoCal final, leads […]
We add hoops into the mix for the first time since last season, but it’s all about LiAngelo Ball of Chino Hills and his 72-point explosion during a game earlier this week. For football, the state single season rushing record is under an even greater attack by Norte Vista’s Eric Melesio with one and possibly […]
Riverside Norte Vista’s Eric Melesio goes past 3,300 yards rushing with another big night while Cade Henjum of Saddleback Valley Christian gets close to 5,000 yards for passing and rushing. The only problem is that Cade’s season is over. Another one of our standouts had 245 yards and four TDs receiving – in one quarter.
Two receivers with 14 catches in one game – Evan King of Menlo School and Brenden Hall of Folsom Vista del Lago – are among the best of this week’s honor roll. Eric Melesio of Riverside Norte Vista with 55 carries, Manny Berz of Citrus Hill with 42nd career field goal and Kingsburg’s Bo Jackson […]
We’ve got a nice mix of standouts from offense, defense and special teams this week, headlined by players from 61-60 four-overtime game and that 80-64 regulation score. Eric Melesio of Riverside Norte Vista also shined with 487-yard rushing game while Tulare’s Nathan Lamb went 16-for-16 passing and Berean Christian’s Isaiah Hodgins had 11 catches for […]
