NorCal/SoCal Players of the Week

One of our honorees this week has already had a huge outing in a CIF section championship game. The other five hope to do the same this week after shining in various semifinals. It’s a group that hails from Redding, San Jose, Stockton, Lancaster, Moreno Valley and Harbor City.

State Stat Stars of the Week

Riverside Norte Vista’s Eric Melesio goes past 3,300 yards rushing with another big night while Cade Henjum of Saddleback Valley Christian gets close to 5,000 yards for passing and rushing. The only problem is that Cade’s season is over. Another one of our standouts had 245 yards and four TDs receiving – in one quarter.

NorCal/SoCal Players of the Week

Eight TD passes not only gets Rancho Verde’s E.J. Stewart a weekly SoCal player of the week selection, but his name entered into the state record book. In the north, a four-interception night by Buchanan’s Jack Wilkins was too hard to miss. Others chosen this week are from Hayward, Antelope, Orange and Norco.

Presented by ATHLETETRAX, this week’s best includes several from two of the wildest games in state history, a 78-74 win by Western Christian of Upland over Whittier Christian and a 68-55 win by Cathedral City over Coachella Valley of Thermal. El Toro QB Trey Tinsley also goes bonkers once again.
