All-State Football 2025: Sophomores

Clovis High’s James Curoso (left) rushed for 1,507 yards and 27 TDs on offense, had 110 tackles (17 for loss) on defense and is one of the state’s top sophomores in wrestling. At right, Markus Fakatou of Orange Lutheran was considered a sophomore for the 2025 season, but for 2026 the all-state defensive lineman will be a senior due to a recent reclassification. It’s time to get started doing the honors for the 48th annual Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football Teams. These are the longest running all-state teams in California by a wide margin. As usual, we begin with those getting first, second and third team honors among sophomores. Servite of Anaheim, St. John Bosco of Bellflower, Lutheran of Orange, Canyon Hills of San Diego, Pittsburg, Oak Ridge of El Dorado Hills and Clovis West of Fresno are all among schools with more than one sophomore player selected.
