Top seed Norco has reached the title game in the nation’s toughest playoff bracket for the 10th time and will go for the CIF Southern Section D1 title on Saturday night as the state’s No. 1 team. The Cougars have moved back to that position after previous No. 1 Del Oro of Loomis lost to previous No. 3 Oak Ridge of El Dorado Hills in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section D1 championship. El Modena of Orange is waiting for Norco and has experience playing (and beating) the Cougars.
