State Stat Stars of the Week

This feature serves as our statewide collection of milestone achievements in California high school sports. For boys hoops, we have details on a new NorCal individual scoring record for most points scored in one half and we have two players who made enough three-pointers in a game to eventually get their names entered into the state record book. For girls hoops, another huge second half of 28 points by one player helped Esperanza of Anaheim collect a big win while there’s a freshman making waves near the coast of San Luis Obispo.
