This season had it all from perhaps the most surprising D1 state champion in the 40-plus years of the CIF state championships plus the start of a three-year run at the top of D2 by Dominguez of Compton, a series of memorable individual duels and the final game in a legendary career of one of the state’s greatest coaches.

Note: This is a post for our Gold Club members only. We did a similar week-by-week series of season replays last fall for football and will offer them for basketball but in a different format at least until there is more clarity about when high school sports will return during the 2020-21 school year.
