After earlier releasing our first-ever Hot 100 player rankings for California softball for the graduating Class of 2020, we’re now looking ahead to the Class of 2021. Oklahoma scored big for the 2020s with the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the state both getting ready to play for head coach Patty Gasso. For 2021, the Sooners have commitments from No. 1 and No. 3. The top prospect in the state heading into the summer months is Sophia Nugent, power-hitting catcher from Los Alamitos. A girl who just moved to the state prior to the 2019-20 school year, San Clemente’s Jessie Blaine, is right behind. Look for more softball player rankings coming soon.
Note: This is a Gold Club post on CalHiSports.com. We will have one more free Senior Salutes for softball players, but upcoming softball Gold Club items will include updated top 30 all-time greatest teams rankings and a projected all-state team for seniors. For sign up info, CLICK HERE.
