NEW Medium/Small School FB Ranks

Players from Placer of Auburn gather after they nipped previously unbeaten Buhach Colony 21-20 in CIF Sac-Joaquin Section D3 semis. The Hillmen are playing in their fifth straight section final and have broken into this week’s Medium Schools State Top 15 Rankings. Photo: GoldCountryMedia.com.

We have two new No. 1 teams this week as St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs) takes over at the top for medium schools while Sutter does the same for small. The medium pecking order also was pretty much completely overhauled by a lot of higher seeded teams losing in section playoffs. Newcomers for medium include San Joaquin Memorial, Aquinas, Placer of Auburn, Bishop’s and Clayton Valley. For small schools, just two newcomers as both Dos Palos and St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy break into the first 15.

Note: This is a Gold Club post on CalHiSports.com. All future medium and small school state rankings this season will be posts for our Gold Club members only as well. The first CIF bowl game projections and breakdowns were free, but all of those after that will be Gold Club. Check out getting your membership today for as low as 6.8 cents per day.
