Based on travel budget and on possible signings of our book “High School Football In California,” which was released this week, we are tentatively planning to go to the following events and games for the early portion of the 2018 California high school football season.
Aug. 17 – Folsom at De La Salle (Concord).
Aug. 24 & Aug. 25 – Honor Bowl games at St. Francis (Mountain View).
Aug. 31 – Pittsburg at Centennial (Corona) or La Habra at Mission Viejo or Friday night game in San Diego.
Sept. 1 – Honor Bowl at Cathedral Catholic (San Diego).
Sept. 7 & Sept 8 – Local games (CIF Sac-Joaquin Section & likely including Christian Brothers vs. Jesuit Holy Bowl rivalry on Sept. 8).
Sept. 21 – Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) at Bakersfield.
Sept. 28 – Buchanan (Clovis) at Central (Fresno).
Oct. 12 – St. John Bosco at Mater Dei (Santa Ana).
