Individual Single-Game Highs (Boys)

Two of those who have scored 50 points or more in a game this season (so far) are Carl Lewis of Lynwood and Wes Lynch of Rancho Mirage. Photos: Twitter.com.

As part of our continuing effort to maintain state records in boys basketball, we have to compile a list of single game highs toward the end of each season. We’ll be doing the same for girls on Sunday night. These are based on information in the MaxPreps database and on nominations that people have sent in during the season for the NorCal/SoCal Player of the Week honors. The reported leader so far this season for most points in a game is Wes Lynch of Rancho Mirage with 59. We also have single-game highs for rebounds, assists, steals and 3-pointers.

Part of me wants to leave it as is because it gave me a good laugh, but on your list for most three-pointers (10) twice and most assists (15 and 13) is freshman JAY Araya from Stockton Christian. Not Joe. Thanks for the unexpected funny today.

Thanks for the info. We actually have all of his games listed. Just messed up on the first name.
I laugh all of of the time looking at stats from those really small D5 schools so I guess we’re even.

Even better is we’re a small D6 school. One of the smallest, but I know what you mean about some of the stats at our level. We hold our boys to a higher standard competing against D1 and D2 schools during summer and fall leagues. Still Mark, Jay is not like 6’7″ Cameron Pieters who led us to a section title 2 years ago as a senior. He is a 5’8″ freshman who if injury free is gonna be fun to watch these next few years. Thanks for all that you do.
