Heading into the championship games of some sections and the semifinals of a few others, here’s how the teams stack up this week for both of the boys and girls Open Divisions for Northern and Southern California. On Saturday night late, late after all section finals are complete, we’ll issue one more Open Division projection plus look at which teams may be in line for the top seeds in each CIF division.

Note: It still doesn’t look very likely that the Clovis West girls will be placed in the Northern Regional bracket. Really, if the CIF did put the Golden Eagles in the north, there are very few options for which teams would replace them in the south for the Open Division, especially since there is a limit of four that can be chosen from the Southern Section. All projections also based on assumption that there are no teams that have requested or will request to move up into the Open Division.
