Ok… was I wrong? I told everyone all week Dt Mary’s would blow through Oak Ridge

Folsom … is all the motivation the kids needed

We will now turn our focus to pray for good Refs… not the blind Crew that called 2 phantom touchdowns in the final 4 minutes of the Folsom game last year… where both balls were cut out of bounds as approved by all of the pictures on social media

Why is there a bye in the middle of the NCS open section playoffs when there are only 4 teams (2 games)? Also, why are there only 4 teams?

Fooseball, you answered your own question.. 4 teams equals 2 games.

    So they have a bye.

Lol. You’re right. I guess correct question would be shouldn’t a sectional playoff round include 8 or 16 teams?

The section didn’t vote for an eight-team bracket for its Open Division because then they would have had to pull up teams possibly like Cardinal Newman from D4 or Bishop O’Dowd from D3 and didn’t want to have teams like that having to possibly play DLS early on. I think they will re-evaluate next year and go for a six-team bracket with No. 1 and No. 2 seeds getting byes. If the D1 team isn’t going to go to a bowl game, then why not have Monte Vista and Antioch or Monte Vista and California as the No. 5 and No. 6 teams? A section should have 8 or 16 team brackets, but the NCS has DLS to deal with. Totally unique situation.
