It was a quiet Friday night in SoCal due to many top teams having byes, but in the north it was No. 13 Bellarmine and No. 14 Clayton Valley holding the line against major challengers. No. 1 De La Salle and No. 5 Folsom both post shutouts while No. 2 Corona Centennial wins 69-7.

Here is a look at scores through Saturday night, Oct. 3. Check back Monday for new State Top 25 rankings.

1. De La Salle (Concord) 4-1
Defeated Granite Bay 37-0. The Spartans improved to 27-0 all-time vs. CIF Sac-Joaquin Section teams but there were some anxious moments in the first half due to four offensive turnovers.

2. Centennial (Corona) 5-0
Defeated Valencia 69-7. It was 45-0 at halftime as the Huskies ended the non-league portion of their regular season. It will be a shock if they’re not 10-0 and top seed when the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division playoffs begin.

3. St. John Bosco (Bellflower) 5-0
Did not play. The Braves and the rest of the Trinity League took the week off in preparation for league competition commencing next week. They are playing No. 20 Santa Margarita.

4. Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 5-0
Did not play. Head coach Bruce Rollinson’s squad will take on No. 21 Orange Lutheran next week in Trinity League opener.

5. Folsom 6-0
Defeated Del Oro (Loomis) 31-0. Considering Del Oro barely lost to No. 13 Bellarmine and without a late turnover probably would have won, this was the Bulldogs’ most impressive outing so far.

6. Bishop Amat (La Puente) 5-1
Defeated Crespi of Encino 49-7. It was another big night for RB Torreahno Sweet, who scored five times for the Lancers.

7. Mission Viejo 6-0
Did not play. The Diablos host Dana Hills in their league opener next week. Could be matchup of unbeatens brewing against San Juan Hills.

8. Grant (Sacramento) 4-1
Lost to No. 22 Elk Grove 42-7. Two early turnovers that led to Elk Grove defensive touchdowns buried the Pacers early in this matchup of top-ranked CIF Sac-Joaquin Section squads. For recap, CLICK HERE.

9. Serra (Gardena) 5-1
Defeated Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks 35-20. This one probably was closer than anticipated, but Cavs don’t care. They’re facing No. 6 Bishop Amat next week in what will be the state’s top matchup.

10. Long Beach Poly (Long Beach) 4-1
Defeated Cabrillo of Long Beach 73-7. This comes after Jackrabbits beat Moore League team Long Beach Wilson 67-30. It’ll be the same next week vs. Compton, but trip to play No. 1 De La Salle will come after that.

11. Alemany (Mission Hills) 5-0
Did not play. The Warriors, who beat Crespi of Encino 18-0 last week, are playing 3-2 Chaminade of West Hills next week.

12. Narbonne (Harbor City) 3-2
Defeated Los Alamitos 35-21 on Thursday. This was a 21-14 deficit for the Gauchos until they rallied on a 17-yard TD pass from Roman Ale to Kameron Denmark, then another TD pass from Ale to Denmark and then a 20-yard TD run by Sean Riley.

13. Bellarmine (San Jose) 4-0
Defeated No. 19 Serra of San Mateo 36-28. The Bells led 30-14 in this one and become even more of a front-runner in the CIF Central Coast Section.

14. Clayton Valley (Concord) 4-1
Defeated Monte Vista of Danville 21-17. Since Monte Vista was 4-0 and was the team that knocked off Pittsburg when it was in the State Top 25, this was a huge win for the Ugly Eagles. There’s now a very good chance we’ll see them on the CIF bowl board as NCS D2 champs with only a one-point loss to Folsom on their ledger.

15. Mission Hills (San Marcos) 5-0
Did not play. The CIF San Diego Section’s top-ranked team had a bye and will hopefully not lose much steam when it returns. That’s because the next opponent is defending San Diego Open Division champ Oceanside.

16. Helix (La Mesa) 3-1
Defeated Bonita Vista of Chula Vista 38-7. There wasn’t much rust for the Highlanders, who were coming off of a bye week.

17. Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) 6-0
Defeated University of Los Angeles 76-8. It was 35-0 in the first quarter and it was what you’d expect. It does get tougher for the Lions the next two weeks, though, vs. Thousand Oaks and St. Bonaventure.

18. Westlake (Westlake Village) 4-1
Did not play. The Warriors, who like No. 16 Helix have lost only to a team from Arizona, were on a bye. The hype for possible Marmonte League showdown vs. Oaks Christian at the end of the regular season already is building.

19. Serra (San Mateo) 2-2
Lost to No. 13 Bellarmine of San Jose 36-28. One of the highlights for the Padres was a 52-yard TD run in the first half by Kelepi Lataimua that gave them a 14-10 lead. Serra’s other loss was to No. 1 De La Salle.

20. Santa Margarita (Rancho SM) 4-1
Did not play. The Eagles, who dropped their only game to No. 18 Westlake, also were on a bye. Their Trinity League opener also is daunting since it’s against St. John Bosco.

21. Lutheran (Orange) 3-2
Did not play. After their big win from the previous week against Vista Murrieta, the Lancers were on a bye. They meet No. 4 Mater Dei next. They’ve already lost to No. 1 De La Salle and No. 2 Corona Centennial.

22. Elk Grove 5-0
Defeated No. 8 Grant of Sacramento 42-7. Look for Ryan Robards and the Thundering Herd to move up at least three or four positions in the next rankings. For recap, CLICK HERE.

23. JSerra (San Juan Capistrano) 5-0
Did not play. For the Lions, who had a bye this week, their schedule will get amped up considerably in their first Trinity League matchup next week vs. Servite of Anaheim.

24. Foothill (Pleasanton) 5-0
Defeated San Ramon Valley of Danville 24-0. Although the Wolves dropped to 1-4, this was a solid win for the Falcons since SRV was much closer to other ranked opponents.

25. Clovis 5-0
Did not play. The Cougars had a bye, but their argument to be No. 1 in the CIF Central Section was weakened due to unbeaten Ridgeview of Bakersfield getting a solid 27-10 win over Bakersfield.
