Our own preseason Cal-Hi Sports state rankings – going 35 teams deep plus a preseason all-state team to follow – will begin to be released late next week. As a teaser, here are the preseason regional rankings as released on Thursday by partners at GrassrootsHoops.net. Many California teams mentioned.

Note: The GrassrootsHoops.net preseason regional rankings were compiled with 20 teams from five separate regions of the nation. These are the same regions that Cal-Hi Sports editor Mark Tennis worked on for many years as executive editor for Student Sports and deputy sports editor for ESPN. No one across the country ranks as many teams as GrassrootsHoops.net.
