FB: Sac-Joaquin Section Top 5 Lists

Last week on the FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show, co-hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of the top five current college players from CIF Sac-Joaquin Section schools according to CalHiSports.com.

Here is what that countdown revealed with player, high school attended and notes:

1. Brandin Cooks (Lincoln, Stockton) leads nation in TD catches, receiving yards, catches at Oregon State
2. Deone Bucannon (Vanden, Travis AFB) NFL prospect at DB from Washington State
3. Terrence Mitchell (Burbank, Sac.) Cover corner star for No. 2 Oregon Ducks
4. Tra’Mayne Bondurant (Fairfield) Among NCAA leaders in interceptions for Univ. of Arizona
5. Cody Wichmann (Mariposa) He’s following same path as Logan Mankins from Mariposa to Fresno State and now 6-6, 320-pound tackle with big-time NFL potential

Tune into this week’s show Friday at 11 p.m. for all the local highlights plus the next Top 5 from CalHiSports.com, which will be the top five current NFL players from the SJS. The show will include highlights from the biggest games in the region.
