Most impressive wins are from No. 4 Serra of Gardena and No. 6 Mission Viejo. Upset victims include Mission Hills of San Marcos, Granite Bay and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. The next rankings updates will be out on Monday morning.

1. De La Salle (Concord) 7-0
Defeated James Logan (Union City) 49-7 in rematch of teams that played in last year’s CIF North Coast Section Division I final. Spartans have now won 33 straight games. For Bay Area League comparisons, CLICK HERE.
2. St. John Bosco (Bellflower) 7-0
Defeated No. 22 Lutheran (Orange) 42-24. Similar to game against Chandler of Arizona in that Braves were tested in first half, much more dominating in second.
3. Folsom 7-0
Defeated Jesuit (Carmichael) 56-14. Jesuit was 6-0 but other than win over Franklin of Elk Grove hadn’t played too tough of a schedule yet. Folsom can now start looking toward Pleasant Grove as last realistic hard game left in regular season.
4. Serra (Gardena) 7-0
Defeated No. 9 Chaminade (West Hills) 36-0. Big-time win for the Cavs. Will they go back in front of Folsom next week? This certainly makes up for that OT win over Notre Dame. RECAP.
5. Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 7-0
Defeated JSerra (San Juan Capistrano) 38-14. Monarchs did their part in further setting up monster showdown in two weeks at No. 2 St. John Bosco.
6. Mission Viejo 7-0
Defeated San Clemente 70-17. It wasn’t too long ago that this wasn’t such a walk in the park for the Diablos.
7. Serra (San Mateo) 5-1
Defeated Valley Christian (San Jose) 28-7 on Saturday. Padres are still tied with Archbishop Mitty (San Jose) for first-place in WCAL.
8. Hart (Newhall) 7-0
Defeated Golden Valley (Santa Clarita) 61-13. With Chaminade getting clobbered like it did by Serra, however, Indians may drop next week just like they have been going up due to their OT win from earlier in the season over the Eagles.
9. Chaminade (West Hills) 5-2
Lost to No. 4 Serra (Gardena) 36-0. The zero at the end of the Eagles’ score is what is most surprising by Friday’s outcome. RECAP.
10. Servite (Anaheim) 4-3
Defeated Santa Margarita (Rancho SM) 30-14. Travis Waller’s 80-yard touchdown run broke it open for the Friars, who now look like third best team in Trinity League (with Orange Lutheran still looking to grab that spot).
11. Long Beach Poly (Long Beach) 7-1
Defeated Lakewood 38-0. Jackrabbits also helped out by Servite’s win over Santa Margarita.
12. Elk Grove 7-0
Defeated Grant (Sacramento) 7-3. The Thundering Herd turned the Pacers’ one-dimensional, ganged up on the run and clear a big hurdle toward 10-0 regular season.
13. Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) 7-0
Defeated Ponderosa (Shingle Springs) 46-0. If the Eagles do stay unbeaten heading into their matchup with Folsom to end the regular season, why would that not be a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup for the Sac-Joaquin Section no matter where Elk Grove stands.
14. Rancho Cucamonga 7-0
Defeated Glendora 37-9. Glendora was unbeaten, so this was another strong win for the Cougars.
15. Granite Bay 5-2
Lost to Rocklin 31-14. Strange that the Grizzlies came home and lost after looking better for four straight weeks on the road.
16. Mission Hills (San Marcos) 6-1
Lost to San Pasqual (Escondido) 13-10 in 2 OTs. This was billed as a matchup of No. 1 vs. No. 2 for San Diego and No. 2 won. We had other teams higher (Eastlake for one) and that may now have to change.
17. Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 5-3
Lost to Alemany (Mission Hills) 35-27. An upset alert by us from Thursday is correct. In the Serra League, though, this just means Alemany will probably be next to drop back down. It’s just that unpredictable.
18. Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) 6-1
Did not play. The Lions will play Calabasas next week.
19. Bellarmine (San Jose) 5-1
Defeated St. Ignatius (San Francisco) 42-28. The Bells haven’t been scoring much so even though they gave up 28 it’s a good sign.
20. Centennial (Corona) 5-2
Defeated King (Riverside) 70-28. The Huskies continued to get back to normal after their losses to Long Beach Poly and Alemany.
21. (24) Edison (Fresno) 7-0
Defeated Madera South (Madera) 48-7. CIF Central Section No. 1 team breezes to expected win.
22. Lutheran (Orange) 6-1
Lost to No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower) 42-24. The Lancers ahead 14-7 and 17-14 but couldn’t hold on. They still have Mater Dei and Servite on the schedule.
23. Eastlake (Chula Vista) 6-1
Defeated Chula Vista 38-0. Only loss by Titans still to Arizona power Chandler Hamilton.
24. Bakersfield 5-2
Defeated Independence (Bakersfield) 49-7. The Drillers stay focused after their big win from the week before over Liberty.
25. Edison (Huntington Beach) 5-2
Defeated Newport Harbor (Newport Beach) 28-16. Newport was close until the final minutes.
