Windward’s Jaylen Harris (left) and St. John Bosco’s Billy Preston are two of the best incoming freshmen in the state and both will play pivotal roles on state-ranked teams.

Our boys basketball coverage for Gold Club members continues with a look at the state’s top incoming ninth-graders. The freshmen (2017) have good size and some talented point guards, which is always a good sign of a strong class. Our player rankings will be updated at least once during the season and we’ll come back and publish our end of season rankings in the spring.
