Senior receiver Justin Priest and sophomore quarterback Ian Book have been two of the standouts for Oak Ridge of El Dorado Hills, which debuts at No. 24 in the state this week.

It ended up not being as tumultuous as thought due to Alemany beating Corona Centennial and Chaminade topping Oaks Christian. Three newcomers do go in, however, with Mission Hills of San Marcos going in the highest.

Centennial, Servite and St Bonaventure, are all over rated IMO.

The only explaination is their history being taken into account .
bonnie is going nowhere fast, Centennial has no defense, Servite has a good win over Poly but the other wins are not super impressive over weak teams la Mirada and Edison. It will all play out in the end. St Bonaventure just gave up 540 yds of offense and 24 first downs to Atascadero. Not a few big plays but consistent offense.

I understand where you’re coming from LBess4. Servite won’t have to wait long to prove their rankings worth. Got to remember if Servite defeats DLS and then runs the Trinity League, they’ll be very high in the state, and hence will Poly. Now if Servite begins to lose, then Poly will drop. Hence Centennial’s resume won’t look as good and down the line with St. Bonaventure. Still alot of results to play out.

Who has VISTA MURRIETA played in the top 10 or 15? Why are they ranked so high? Oceanside lost to serra which is number 4, why is st. Bonnie and centennial ranked above Oceanside? Doesn’t make since to me. Jus trying to understand.

Their preseason positioning and not losing a game has determined their ranking so far. They have actually been hopped in the rankings and as explained in the extended rankings, Centennial dropping two games could and will hurt VM’s ability to climb in the coming weeks. Thanks for the inquiry.

Southern California resident all my 63 years. Have adopted Northern California De La Salle as my favorite ever since I discovered their winning streak in 1999. They are true Class.
