Alemany impresses in handing Corona Centennial its second straight loss. Other big winners include Archbishop Mitty, De La Salle, Long Beach Poly and Oak Ridge of El Dorado Hills. The next rankings updates will be out on Monday morning.

Here is a look at scores through Friday night, Sept. 20. Check back later in the weekend for completed scoreboard through Saturday, Sept. 21.

1. De La Salle (Concord) 4-0
Defeated Del Oro of Loomis 41-3. RBs John Velasco and Antoine Custer both scored early TDs. A shock to some was the Spartans actually trying an on-side kick after their second touchdown. RECAP

2. St. John Bosco (Bellflower) 4-0
Defeated Loyola (Los Angeles) 24-10. The Braves will now have a week off.

3. Folsom 4-0
Defeated San Ramon Valley (Danville) 67-36. Jake Browning throws for eight more touchdowns and now has 24 for the season.

4. Serra (Gardena) 4-0
Defeated Dorsey (Los Angeles) 48-18. No close call this week for the Cavaliers.

5. Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 4-0
Defeated Santa Monica 37-0. We’re not worried about a fairly weak schedule so far because it’s obvious what’s in front of the Monarchs in the Trinity League.

6. Mission Viejo 4-0
Defeated La Habra 47-21. Solid win for the Diablos in the aftermath of their triumph one week ago against Don Bosco Prep of New Jersey.

7. Vista Murrieta (Murrieta) 3-0
Defeated Redlands East Valley (Redlands) 69-21. But with Chaminade beating Oaks Christian and Corona Centennial losing to Alemany, it could be tougher for the Broncos to get a CIF Open Division bowl game bid even if they are 14-0 at the end of the section playoffs.

8. Servite (Anaheim) 3-1
Defeated No. 25 Edison (Huntington Beach) 31-14. This was a team that beat the Friars last season. They’ve already matched last year’s win total, too.

9. Long Beach Poly (Long Beach) 3-1
Defeated No. 20 Bakersfield 27-7. The Jackrabbits only led 6-0 at halftime and played great in the second half for the second straight week.

10. Centennial (Corona) 2-2
Lost to No. 12 Alemany (Mission Hills) 45-28. That’s two losses in a row for the Huskies since they set CIF Southern Section record for total offense yards in single game.

11. Bellarmine (San Jose) 3-0
Defeated Piedmont Hills (San Jose) 41-21. The Bells will remain No. 2 in the S.F. Bay Area behind De La Salle.

12. Alemany (Mission Hills) 4-0
Defeated No. 10 Centennial (Corona) 45-28. The tough call in next week’s rankings isn’t whether the Warriors will be in the top 10 but should be in front of Long Beach Poly.

13. St. Bonaventure (Ventura) 3-1
Defeated Atascadero 35-24. Unfortunately, the Seraphs will have to drop in the rankings again next week to stay behind Corona Centennial due to head-to-head loss.

14. (13) Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) 3-1
Lost to No. 22 Chaminade (West Hills) 21-14 on Thursday. The Lions will now try to avoid losing to Crenshaw of Los Angeles for a second straight season. RECAP

15. Oceanside 3-1
Defeated Poway 61-0. Impressive win helps set up San Diego Section No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown next week against Mission Hills.

16. Palo Alto 1-1
Lost on Saturday to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose) 34-14. There’s one more WCAL team to look seriously at after Bellarmine and Serra.

17. Elk Grove 4-0
Defeated Sheldon (Sacramento) 55-0. This was the same team that had a QB throw for eight TDs in one game two weeks ago.

18. Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove) 4-0
Defeated Inderkum (Sacrmento) 33-19. Despite loss, Inderkum still looks like one of the top D2 teams in Northern California.

19. Serra (San Mateo) 1-1
Defeated Encinal (Alameda) 49-13. Encinal was 2-0 but this one was over at halftime.

20. Bakersfield 2-2
Lost to No. 9 Long Beach Poly (Long Beach) 27-7. Oaks Christian losing to Chaminade also will cause the Drillers to drop.

21. Hart (Newhall) 3-0
Defeated Ridgeview (Bakersfield) 56-7. The Indians’ win earlier over Chaminade also gets much more significant with ‘Nade topping Oaks Christian.

22. Chaminade (West Hills) 3-1
Defeated No. 14 Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) 21-14. Up next for Ed Croson’s crew is Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks, but in two weeks. RECAP

23. Granite Bay 2-1
Defeated Vacaville 46-28. Vaca was 2-0 and was playing at home.

24. Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) 3-1
Defeated Birmingham (Lake Balboa) 28-3. With Alemany and Chaminade also winning, this sets up the Knights to perhaps go on a rankings run since they are playing both later on.

25. Edison (Huntington Beach) 2-1
Lost to No. 8 Servite (Anaheim) 31-14. The Chargers still have to play Mater Dei too before starting the Sunset League.

Bubble Teams

Archbishop Mitty (San Jose) 2-0
Defeated No. 14 Palo Alto 34-14.

Bishop Amat (La Puente) 3-1
Defeated Charter Oak (Covina) 45-21.

Crenshaw (Los Angeles) 1-2

Defeated Crenshaw (Los Angeles) 29-14.

El Cerrito 2-2
Lost to Campolindo (Moraga) 42-27.

Grant (Sacramento) 3-1

Defeated Tamalpais (Mill Valley) 56-7 on Saturday.

Defeated Valley Center 45-0.

Murrieta Valley (Murrieta) 3-1
Lost to Rancho Cucamonga 34-19.

Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) 4-0
Defeated Grant (Sacramento) 20-17. RECAP

Rancho Cucamonga 4-0
Defeated Murrieta Valley (Murrieta) 34-19. Both teams were 3-0.

Santa Margarita (Rancho SM) 2-2
Defeated Carson 49-6. Trinity League goes 6-0 for second straight week.

St. Mary’s (Stockton) 2-1
