No. 1 teams De La Salle (D1), Redlands East Valley (D2), Calabasas (D3), Sacred Heart Prep of Atherton (D4) and Grace Brethren (D5) remain in place, at least for another week. New teams making huge leaps, however, include Carter of Rialto (D2), Camarillo (D3), Liberty of Madera Ranchos (D4) and Stellar Prep of Oakland (D5)....

State Football Recruiting Roundup

Seven players chosen to either first or second team for 2012 All-State honors are going to USC. Next highest college on the list is UCLA with six, but go inside to see our pick of which college we’d rank with best in-state class.


All-State Football: First Team

De La Salle and Narbonne both pocket two choices with Gauchos’ Troy Williams getting coveted quarterback position. We also go with Mater Dei’s Thomas Duarte as a receiver to free up extra slot for multi-purpose player.


All-State Football: Small Schools

CIF Division IV state champ Central Catholic leads the pack with three first team honorees and three on second team. Marin Catholic is right behind while other schools with multiple picks include Wasco, Placer, Monrovia and Mission Prep.
