The Patrick Henry High team of San Diego shook up the final state rankings with wins over both Crespi and Santa Margarita on the road in the CIF SoCal D1 regional playoffs. Photo: phpatriotsbsbl / Instagram.com.
The most difficult teams to rank at the end were the double-digit loss teams from Patrick Henry of San Diego and Santa Margarita of Rancho Santa Margarita. They’re both in the final top 10 but not top five. De La Salle also rises to third with Granite Hills fourth and Huntington Beach getting fifth. We also have final bumps for Los Gatos (up to 23rd) and Yuba City (30th). All 40 teams in these rankings are written up and these are the rankings that will be added to our archives that go back with final season state rankings for more than 45 years.
