Despite the extreme circumstances of a much later than usual 2021 boys basketball season in the state, we have selected 144 players for our annual all-state teams according to five divisions. This is the 42nd straight year of Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams. Several schools that won CIF SoCal regional titles have more than one player honored.

Note: We hope you enjoy this free post on CalHiSports.com. Updated class-by-class player rankings by managing editor Ronnie Flores will be coming soon and will be for Gold Club members only. Our all-state hoops patch for this year is now available to order at BillyTees.com. Patches also come with a certificate.

To order a commemorative, official All-State Basketball patch for those who’ve been named to one of our all-state teams for the 2020 season, go to THIS LINK at BillyTees.com. The special link has been set up for all-state basketball patches. Billy Tees has been the official merchandiser of the CIF for many years. Also from BillyTees.com, schools that were supposed to be in the CIF state finals can still get gear as if those games were played.

*Note: Players who were on D6AA teams in the SoCal regional playoffs were considered for D5 all-state.

DIVISION V STATE PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Wayne Hampton (Hoover, San Diego)

*Note: The division placement of schools (and players from those schools for all-state) is based on our own five division format that has been done for many years. They may not be the same as section playoff divisions, but would match the divisions that teams played in for the CIF SoCal regional playoffs. For players from schools that didn’t have section playoffs, we considered them from divisions in which their schools played in 2020 before the pandemic struck.

Special thanks to Ronnie Flores for contributions to these teams.
