All-State Softball: 2nd & 3rd Teams

Both Ally Shipman of Valencia (left) and Payton Tidd of San Marcos have gained all-state second team honors. They already were named All-State Underclass, but it’s arguable that teammates Shea O’Leary (Valencia) and Alexis Orozco (San Marcos) were just as outstanding during the season. Look for all four on first team next year. Photos: FloSoftball & Patrick Takkinen/SoCalSidelines.com.

The 35th annual Cal-Hi Sports all-state teams selections for softball also includes 30 players named second team overall plus 30 more who are third team. Any player from any school regardless of class or school size can be on second team. The third team, however, is only for seniors and only for large schools.
