An unbelievable seven-run rally from six runs down in the third inning pushes Eastlake past Rancho Buena Vista in the CIF San Diego Section Open Division and to the top of the state rankings. Odds are, however, the Titans won’t have the pitching to win the section title due to earlier loss in double-elimination bracket. That would open it up for winner of CIF Southern Section Division II semifinal between St. John Bosco and Etiwanda. All of those final No. 1 scenarios are possible due to Huntington Beach and Buchanan both losing in playoff games on Friday and Saturday. Go inside to see completely revamped pecking order and for five new teams now ranked.
