NEW Boys BB State Top 20 Rankings

Key players that have helped Roseville Woodcreek rise to No. 5 in the state have been Jackson Hughes, Jordan Brown & Tyrell Roberts. Photo: Woodcreek Basketball/Facebook.com.

Long Beach Poly is this week’s only newcomer and goes in at No. 14 after upset win over previous No. 7 in CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs. By Friday, if no upsets, it should be No. 1 Sierra Canyon vs. No. 3 Bishop Montomgery and No. 2 Chino Hills vs. No. 4 Mater Dei in marquee doubleheader scheduled for USC’s Galen Center. No. 5 Woodcreek and No. 8 Sheldon of Sacramento also are on a path to meet in what would be a tremendous CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I championship.
