Vacaville Wood is better than good and is one of six new teams to break into a divisional state ranking. The others are Helix (D1), Palmdale (D3), Sonora (D4), Valley Christian of Dublin (D5) and Brentwood of Los Angeles (D5). Still No. 1 are De La Salle of Concord (D1), Clayton Valley of Concord (D2), Calabasas (D3), Sierra Canyon (D4) and Grace Brethren (D5).
With the CIF bowl games now in 13 divisions and with it basically impossible to place teams into those divisions in a weekly format, we are rebooting our traditional five-division state rankings first done in 1975.
