NEW Sac-Joaquin Section Top 5 List

Last week on the FOX 40 Final Quarter high school football show, hosts Jim Crandell and Kristina Werner revealed a list of the top five most points scored by one player in one game in CIF Sac-Joaquin Section history, according to CalHiSports.com.

Here is what that countdown revealed with player, high school and notes:

1. Joe Silva (Gustine) 60 in 1952
9 TDs, 3 2pt conversions in 74-0 win over LeGrand.

2. James Montgomery (Cordova) 54 in 2004
9 TDs in 69-41 win over Vacaville.

3. (tie) Donald Hair (McClatchy) 48 in 1984
8 TDs in 52-21 win over Oakmont.

3. (tie) Zach Zuniga (Vintage) 48 in 2009
8 TDs in 80-56 win over Armijo.

3. (tie) Mark Jenkins (Pleasant Grove) 48 in 2010
8 TDs in 55-35 win over Roseville.

Note: That’s all of them in section history who have scored eight TDs in one game.
