CIF STATE BOWL GAME DIVISIONS RANKINGS UPDATES
(Fifth rankings of the regular season)

DIVISION I SOUTH
1.  St. John Bosco (Bellflower) 4-1
2.  Mater Dei (Santa Ana) 5-0
3. Alemany (Mission Hills) 5-0
4. Centennial (Corona) 3-2
5. Oceanside 5-0

DIVISION I NORTH
1.  De La Salle (Concord) 6-0
2.  Folsom 6-0
3. Grant (Sacramento) 5-0
4. Foothill (Pleasanton) 5-0
5. Bellarmine Prep (San Jose) 4-0

DIVISION II SOUTH
1. St. Francis (La Canada) 5-0
2. Redlands East Valley (Redlands) 3-1
3. La Mirada 5-1
4. Corona del Mar (Newport Beach) 4-1
5. Heritage (Menifee) 5-0

DIVISION II NORTH
1. Clayton Valley (Concord) 5-0
2. Los Gatos 3-1*
3. Concord 4-0**
*With continued success, it becomes likely that Los Gatos would move to CCS Open Division playoffs and therefore would be considered D1 North for the bowl games.
**Does not include forfeit win.

DIVISION III SOUTH
1. El Capitan (Lakeside) 5-0
2. Lompoc 6-0
3. Newbury Park 5-1

DIVISION III NORTH
1. Campolindo (Moraga) 6-0
2. Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton) 5-0*
3. Sutter 5-0
*With continued success, it becomes likely that Sacred Heart Prep would move to CCS Open Division playoffs and therefore would be considered D1 North for bowl games.

DIVISION IV SOUTH
1. Christian (El Cajon) 5-0
2. Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) 5-0
3. St. Margaret’s (SJ Capistrano) 5-0

DIVISION IV NORTH
1. Central Catholic (Modesto) 3-2
2. McClymonds (Oakland) 4-0
3. Capital Christian (Sacramento) 5-0
Note: McClymonds may have moved to No. 1 in a computer ranking for this division, but Central Catholic’s 17-14 loss to Sierra of Manteca (an unbeaten D2 North ranked team) is not enough to off-set three straight wins by Central Catholic over McClymonds from 2012 and 2013. Central Catholic’s 29-28 overtime win over 2013 D2 North bowl team Manteca also is still a better win than any that McClymonds has had so far. For McClymonds to be ahead of Central Catholic in the Cal-Hi Sports system, it needs to beat the Raiders or the Raiders need to lose in the section playoffs or suffer a loss to a Valley Oak League team left on its schedule other than Oakdale.

What about Tesoro? Do they have any good wins and who is their loss to? What division are they in? Should they be ranked in Division 1?

Tesoro would definitely be in the top 25 if you threw out that first game loss to La Mirada. That one is still effecting them for our rankings, which go more by head-to-head than other rankings. La Mirada, meanwhile, has only lost to Servite. That was a Servite romp but there’s no reason yet for Tesoro to be ahead of La Mirada. Hence, Tesoro may not be ranked as high as it has looked in the last couple of games.
