To check out these rankings for the remainder of the season, they will be tagged for Gold Club members only. It’s a great deal at less than $2 per month. Join our team today by CLICKING HERE.

(Rankings compiled after games played on Tuesday, May 13 so they will not match the overall State Top 20 compiled earlier this week because a few of those teams have already lost this week)

DIVISION I
1. Amador Valley (Pleasanton) 23-0
2. Pacifica (Garden Grove) 23-4-1
3. Vacaville 25-0-1
4. Esperanza (Anaheim) 23-4
5. Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga) 22-3
6. Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) 24-2
7. Huntington Beach 20-4
8. James Logan (Union City) 21-2
9. Leland (San Jose) 21-3
10. El Camino Real (Woodland Hills) 21-1
11. Clovis 28-3
12. M.L. King (Riverside) 22-5
13. Roseville 21-4
14. Norco 23-7
15. Santiago (Corona) 24-6
Bubble Teams: See overall State Top 20.
Note: The usual difficulty of evaluating an unbeaten team from Northern California compared to those top teams from the CIF Southern Section Division I bracket who generally beat each other all season isn’t as difficult this season. This is due to Amador Valley going down to the Michelle Carew Classic and topping an elite 32-team field.

DIVISION II
1. Mission Viejo 21-0
2. Archbishop Mitty (San Jose) 26-1
3. Alhambra (Martinez) 21-2
4. Chino Hills 25-5
5. Chino 23-4-1
6. Yucaipa 21-4
7. Patrick Henry (San Diego) 23-6

9. Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) 26-3
10. Presentation (San Jose) 20-7
Bubble Teams: Cerritos 19-3, Dana Hills (Dana Point) 18-5, Del Campo (Fair Oaks) 22-6, Los Altos 19-7, Newark Memorial (Newark) 17-6, Petaluma 19-6, Ridgeview (Bakersfield) 23-5.
Note: Teams from the CIF Central Coast Section such as Archbishop Mitty and Presentation above and Valley Christian and Salinas Notre Dame (in D3 below) have been placed in the same state rankings divisions as in the past. Once the CCS playoff pairings are announced, however, that could change. You never know for sure about which teams are in which divisions in the CCS until those pairings do come out.

DIVISION III
1. Burbank 23-3
2. Valley Christian (San Jose) 20-6
3. East Union (Manteca) 22-2
4. Notre Dame (Salinas) 23-3

8. Atascadero 22-5-1
9. Jurupa Hills (Fontana) 20-5
10. Ceres 20-4
Bubble Teams: Analy (Sebastopol) 15-7, Antelope 18-7, Loara (Anaheim) 19-7, Redwood (Visalia) 22-6, Righetti (Santa Maria) 22-6, Savanna (Anaheim) 23-2, St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs) 21-5.
Note: There are teams from the CIF Southern Section Division IV and Division V rankings that are mixed in with Burbank (CIFSS D3) in our D3 state rankings. All of the CIFSS D4 teams, in fact, also will be D3 for the state rankings. Those schools in the CIFSS D5 rankings with massive enrollments – such as Jurupa Hills, Citrus Valley, Montebello, etc. – are just too big to be put into D4 for the state.

DIVISION IV
1. Taft 33-2
2. Salesian (Richmond) 15-1
3. Paraclete (Lancaster) 22-2
4. Bishop’s (La Jolla) 19-1
5. Ontario Christian 20-3
6. Aquinas (San Bernardino) 20-3
7. Linden 23-3-1
8. Half Moon Bay 19-7
9. Liberty (Madera Ranchos) 25-4
10. Marysville 20-4
Bubble Teams: Calvary Chapel (Santa Ana) 20-4, Fortuna 17-5, Lassen (Susanville) 27-8-1, Notre Dame (Belmont) 16-11, Riverdale 24-7, San Dimas 20-7, St. Patrick-St. Vincent (Vallejo) 22-5.
Note: Taft was an easy choice for the top ranking in this division. The Wildcats’ only losses are to Dinuba and Clovis West and they’ve got a win over 28-3 Clovis plus 23-5-1 Ridgeview. They also are a threat to set the state single-season record for scoring runs. After a 21-4 win this week over Shafter, Taft has 393 runs. Holtville set the reported state record with 430 runs in the 1992 season.

DIVISION V
1. St. Bonaventure (Ventura) 18-4
2. Redwood Christian (Castro Valley) 16-2
3. Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro) 28-7
4. Bellarmine-Jefferson (Burbank) 12-4-2
5. Rio Vista 15-0
6. Millenium (Tracy) 14-1
7. Modoc (Alturas) 26-5
8. Pomona Catholic (Pomona) 14-12
9. Ferndale 16-4
10. Rolling Hills Prep (San Pedro) 14-3-1
Bubble Teams: Calipatria 13-4, Cantwell-Sacred Heart (Montebello) 16-7, Caruthers 23-6, King’s Academy (Sunnyvale) 13-5, Trinity Christian (Monterey) 14-5, Woodland Christian 17-4.
Note: We are continuing to rank Port of Los Angeles for D5 even though the team has been moved up to the CIF L.A. City Section D1 playoffs. This is consistent with how we’ve handled similar small-school programs in other sections.

Love seeing Redwood Christian at number two, my alma mater and girlfriend’s team. I smell a championship for Clare Dunnegan and the rest of the Redwood Girls.
