Our first of 10 all-state baseball, softball posts before this week is over begins with the best juniors, sophomores and freshmen in softball.

State Team of the Year Santiago of Corona placed two players on the 2013 Cal-Hi Sports all-state softball underclass teams, but the Sharks were not alone with that total.

Pacifica of Garden Grove also has two on the first team along with Mission Viejo and Vintage of Napa. Schools with one on the first and one the second are Archbishop Mitty of San Jose, Amador Valley of Pleasanton, Norco and Esperanza of Anaheim.
