This second group of nominees is from the CIF Central Section, CIF L.A. City Section and CIF San Diego Section. We still have the CIF Southern Section to go. Check inside to see how to send in a nomination on your own.

By no means are these first Cal-Hi Sports all-state nominations meant to be all-inclusive lists of every possible all-state player in California. We encourage and welcome input from all users of our site and will be releasing a second, even more complete, updated list of nominees prior to when the teams are actually chosen and released.

Please do not wait until after all of the teams are announced to complain about a selection. We will consider players even if they are not added or are not currently shown on these lists.

Please send any nomination with each athlete’s height, weight, position, year in school, significant statistics. Comparing a player not on the board yet to one who already is can be very important toward eventual selection. Limit each nomination to one page please. Send to: markjtennis@gmail.com or FAX (209) 463-1219 or call (209) 463-9050.

The format we will continue to use is to honor a 30-player overall all-state first team with 30 more on second team. Each first team player is written up. There also are 30 for medium schools (Div. III traditional state rankings division) and 30 for small schools (Div. IV and Div. V traditional state rankings divisions). We often get enough information to include second teams for all divisions as well.

Don’t assume we know all there is to know about a player on the list, either. Send us info to make sure all pertinent information is turned in and placed into our files.

With thanks to assistant editor Paul Muyskens, here are the current nominations from the CIF Central Section, CIF L.A. City Section and CIF San Diego Section on our board for the various 2012 Cal-Hi Sports all-state football teams (an updated list of nominees will be posted in two weeks several days before the teams are chosen and announced):

In Southern section CIF you had Joey Hall 5-9 175 WR that had 1365 receiving yards 22.75 per catch with 24 receiving TD which I believe led the southern section in Receiving TD’s. Plus a 29.00 average in KOR – with 2 TD’s

Andrew DeRosa 6-2- 265 NG that has been electronically timed in the 40 at a 4.81 was named Defensive Player of the year for the Northeast Southern section CIF.

Tyler Baty 6-1 185 QB 152-252 .603 completion 2979 yards 45 TD’s 7 int with a QB rating of 130 which is the highest rating of the top 13 QB’s in Southern Section CIF all divisions

Elijah Campbell of Eastlake High School SD County, is a “MANSTAR”.

HE MAN HANDLED JACOB ALSADEK 350 lbs (Arizona commited) of Torrey Pines in the PLAYOFFS. TORREY PINES LIKE EVERYONE ELSE TRIED AND FAILED TO DOUBLE AND TRIPLE TEAM ELIJAH WITH NO SUCCESS.

Playing DTakle he got 5 sacks vs a Very Talented Otay Ranch (league rival).

2 sacks strip fumble in the CIF title game lead to a score n a 21-14 victory over #1
    Mission Hills.

Plays the run dominating at point of attack controlling both ‘A’ gaps. He is the Real Deal.

This Kid Deserves To Be 1St team all state!!!!

Thanks for supporting high school sports and keep up the good work!!
